Dr. Ruvan Shein is an experienced Primary Care and Gastroenterology physician providing comprehensive care in Manhattan. He earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where he also completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine.
Following his residency, Dr. Shein was awarded the Bowen-Brooke Scholarship and completed a research fellowship in Hepatology in London, England. He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology.
Dr. Shein offers integrated primary care and gastrointestinal services, treating conditions such as acid reflux, acute gastrointestinal bleeding, stomach inflammation and infections, chronic anemia, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, underactive thyroid, joint pain, and allergy-related inflammation.
